Anti-Bullying Week and Non-Uniform Day

Next week is Anti Bullying Week.

We are starting the week with an assembly by the NSPCC. In class, teachers will be discussing the theme of anti-bullying, inviting the children to talk about their experiences, the importance of letting someone know if there is a problem,  and asking what they can do to make things even better to stop bullying of all forms.

We are asking the children to come into school on Tuesday wearing odd socks to raise awareness of difference as part of the Anti bullying theme.

Friday is non school uniform day. The school council will be running some fundraising events, which will include a cake stall, name the teddy stall and a mini tombola. We suggest the children bring a contribution of £1.50 for wearing their own clothes and to buy a cake and join the other activities. Proceeds will be split between the three charities chosen by the children, which are Type 1 Diabetes (next Thursday is World Diabetes Day), Epilepsy Action and Mind.

Please can you bring contributions for the cake stall to the office on either Thursday afternoon, or Friday morning.

Thank you for your support with raising awareness of this very important theme and for supporting the children's chosen charities
