Dear Pupils, parents and carers
Welcome to the start of Week 2 of our ‘closed school’. Thank you for the positive reaction to last week newsletters. For my part, I will endeavour to send out a MME message every day towards the end of the school day and at least a weekly update. Teachers will be sending a message daily to their class in term time via MME. Please make sure you are signed up to the App.
Easter Picture competition
We are running an Easter Picture competition. Don’t forget to send us your Easter pictures into the teachers email, which we’ll then put on the FB page and have a vote on – a prize will be sent via the post!
Children can send their work or questions to teachers by using this email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. teachers are checking this email daily.
Year 5 /6 can access their class SEESAW account.
Easter Holiday Provision at Pixmore
During this ‘lockdown’ period I would like to minimise the number of staff that are on site for their own health and well- being. To that end please can you let the school office know by Wednesday (01/04/20) whether you need your child/ren to access the ‘Easter Holiday’ provision at Pixmore.
The provision will run from Monday 6th-Thursday 9th April and Tuesday 14th-Friday 17th April 2020.
If there are no children onsite the school will be closed.
Please not this provision is only for keyworker families and identified ‘vulnerable’ families and government guidance states that it is safer for your child/ren to be at home with you (provided a parent/carer is at home) than to send them into school, at this time.
School Contact
As part of our school role in this ‘National health emergency’ school staff may well be in contact with parents/carers each week; whilst the school is closed. This is because your children/family have been deemed as ‘vulnerable’ (your child may have additional needs, your family are being supported by a social worker or you are on FSM are the main categories focussed on by the Department of Education)
If you receive a phone call during this period from Mrs Willans or Mrs Kennedy. These will be from the school mobile numbers: 07529 220197/07422678961
You can also text and or ring these numbers during normal school hours (08:55-15:15).These numbers are for parents/carers only. Please use them respectfully.
If you need to contact or message the school office or Mrs Evans – please email or leave an answer phone message. These will be checked daily. On 01462 620555 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Please remember we are in a ‘lockdown’ situation. Travel must be essential (work and essential trips for food /medical). Adults and children should remember ‘social distancing’, we are practising this at school and the frequent washing of hands for 20 seconds with soap and water. We really want everyone safely back to school, when the time is right.
Stay safe and well.
