Anti-Bullying Week and Non-Uniform Day

Next week is Anti Bullying Week. We are starting the week with an assembly by the NSPCC. In class, teachers will be discussing the theme of anti-bullying, inviting the children to talk about their experiences, the importance of letting someone know if there is a problem,  and asking what they can do to make things even better to stop bullying of all forms.We are asking the children to come into school on Tuesday wearing odd socks to raise awareness of difference as part of the Anti bullying theme. Friday is non school uniform day. The school council will be running some fundraising events, which will include a cake stall, name the teddy stall and a mini tombola. We suggest the children bring a contribution of £1.50 for wearing their own clothes and to buy a cake and join the other activities. Start of the New School Year 2018-2019

Welcome back to the New School Year 2018!I hope that all our families made the most of the summer weather and I look forward to seeing all our children ready for school to start on Wednesday 5th September, all looking smart in their school uniform.Classroom doors will open at 8.40am ,where staff will be waiting.Pick up at the end of school is 3.15pm from the outside the classrooms. Teaching staff will be around at the end of the day to speak to but there will be a further opportunity to \'Meet the Teacher\' on Monday 10th September Year 3 @ 3.30pm & Year 5 (at the same time), Year 4 meeting is on Wednesday 12th September @3.30pm with Year 6 at 5pm. Meetings last about 1/2 hour children can stay with their parents/carers or play outside (play is supervised). No need to let us know you are coming just sign up...
